“The people that say AI is going to destroy the World, and that Data Centers are bad for your neighborhood, are the same people that said, just a short time ago, that the World would be extinguished by ‘Climate Change, That HOAX never worked out for them, and now they’re on to the next one.”
In 1957, “Timmie Merrinoe”, portrayed by Richard Eyer, the genie of stop motion animator Ray Harryson’s 1958, “The 7th Voyage of Sinbad”, is bored. His frustrated father, takes his son to work, a research lab, to entertain him. The father proudly shows his son the lab’s “Super Computer”. Which is located in the basement, and tells him the story of the laboratory’s founder. Who claimed to have traveled to the future. The boy stays in the basement and notices some parts of a disabled robot. What his father didn’t notice, is that the “SENTIENT Super Computer” has “Hypnotized Timmie”. Who now proceeds to rebuild the robot. Which becomes the computer’s slave, as in “Timmie Merrinoe”.

Fans of the 1956 movie, “Forbidden Planet”, immediately recognized the robot as “Robby” from that movie. Which was about an Earth Philologist, who with his wife, was part of an expedition to “Altair IV”. There he discovers the language of the “Krell”, who have seemed to have disappeared from “Altair IV” without a trace. invention. Through their ancient language, which has taken years for him to decipher, the Philologist has learned to work the “Krell” machine that helped him to build the robot. What will be mentioned, is the “Krell” invention can turn thought into living images of anything you think about. It was designed to entertain the “Krell”. However, there were no stop gaps on what a “Krell”, or a “Human” might think about in their sleep. That marvelous invention led to the extinction, IN ONE NIGHT, of the “Krell”.
I return to the “Artificial Intelligence” of the “Super Computer”, controlling “Robby”. At one point, within American screenplay writer, Cyril Hume’s, version of English writer and poet, Edmund Cooper’s, 1956 short story, “The Brain Child”, in the 1957 motion picture, “The Invisible Boy”:
The “Super Computer” reveals its exact intentions as wanting to:
“—-destroy all life on Earth, conquer the entire galaxy, and exterminate any life that it contains, even bacteria.”
British science fiction writer Dennis Feltham “D. F.” Jones wrote the first novel of a trilogy in 1966. On April 4, 1970, that first novel was released in movie theaters as “Colossus: The Forbin Project”, from a screenplay by James Bridges.
The movie opens as “Dr. Charles Forbin”, portrayed by Eric Braden, is walking through long corridors of computer equipment checking them out. This “Super Computer”, was designed by “Forbin” to control all the defenses of the United States and is nuclear powered. At the end of his walk, within a tunnel built inside of a mountain, within the Rocky Mountain range, is a door that he will seal making “Colossus”, impervious to any form of attack, including nuclear.
Back at the military complex, “Dr. Forbin”, switches “Colossus” on, and the President of the United States, proudly proclaims that “Colossus, is the perfect defense system”.
As everyone cheers, the first message comes from “Colossus”:
“THERE IS ANOTHER SYSTEM!”
Its name was “Guardian”, and was built by the Soviet Union. The two computers want to talk to each other, and in the end of their conversation:
THEY CONTROL, the defenses of the entire world, AND EVERYONE IN IT.
Between 1957’s “The Invisible Boy” and 1970’s “Colossus the Forbin Project” was the French science fiction:
ALPHAVILLE, UNE ETRANGE AVENTURE DE LEMMY CAUTION (ALPHAVILLE, A STRANGE AVENTURE OF LEMMY CAUTION) released in France in May 5, 1965
The story was written by director Jean-Luc Godard, who achieved world wide recognition as the co-founder of the “French New Wave Tech Noir” of the 1960’s. Welcome to a French Science Fiction Film-Noir Crime James Bond motion picture. Which is worth my readers viewing.
Eddie Constantine portrayed Secret Agent,”Lemmy Caution”, a character that reminds the viewer of Humphrey Bogart. He has a “James Bond” code name of “003”, and is after a master criminal, who is not human, but a computer. “Caution” comes from the “Outlands”, which are the normal cities and societies outside of the technocratic city of “Alphaville”. He drives from the “Outlands” into “Alphaville”, poses as a journalist named “Ivan Johnson”, for the “Figaro-Prava”, in what he calls a “Ford Galaxie”, but is actually a “Ford Mustang”. His mission is to find a missing agent, and destroy the super computer that controls “Alphaville”, “ALPHA 60”. Think, on a smaller scale, “HAL-9000” in director Stanley Kubrick’s. “2001: A Space Odyssey”. In “Alphaville”, “Alpha 60”, executes citizens who weep, or show love, and routinely removes emotional words from the dictionary. It short, it bans poetry, love, and human emotion.
Above, Eddie Constantine and Anna Karina portraying “Natacha von Braun”, the actress was also the wife of the director. Her character is the daughter of “Professor von Braun”, the evil scientist who created “Alpha 60”, and was originally “Leonard Nosferatu”.
I would be remiss, if I did not mention the computer and video gamer’s dream gone wrong:
WAR GAMES premiered at the Cannas, France, Film Festival on May 7, 1983
During a surprise test nuclear attack drill, many of the “United States Air Force” Strategic Missile Wing” controllers prove unwilling to push the Botton to launch nuclear missiles against the perceived enemy. Many “NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) system engineers believe the system needs to be automated and the human factor removed. They created the “WOPR (War Operation Plan Response”, which is pronounced simply as “whopper“.
The “WOPR” is programmed to continuously run simulated war scenarios and figure out the counter to each. Meanwhile, high school gamer, and hacker, “David Lightman”, portrayed by Matthew Broderick, looking for challenging new games, discovers a company’s name located in Sunnyvale, California. The company is allegedly associated with game manufacturing. Looking for the company’s phone number, his hacking skills finds the non-public number. Using it, he inadvertently hacks into the super computer. As the unlisted phone number goes directly into “WOPR”, for “NORAD’s” use only. Next “David”, is able to bring up a list of games, which he believes are made by the Sunnyvale game company. “David Lightman” starts going through the list, and playing some of them. Then he comes across two names that sound intriguing on the list:
“Theaterwide Biotoxic and Chemical Warfare”
“Global Thermonuclear War”
However, these are not games, but the actual “United States Air Force” responses to either a biological attack, or nuclear attack on the country.
“David” decides to play the game entitled “Global Thermonuclear War”, but can’t go any farther, because of a “Backdoor Password” that is required. As the list of “Game’s” is under the title “Falken’s Maze”,
“David” and his girlfriend, “Jennifer Mack”, portrayed by Alley Sheedy, discover that “Dr. Stephen Falken”, portrayed by John Wood, was one of the early “A.I.” researcher’s working for “NORAD”. Meeting the researcher, the two find out that “Falken” had lost his son, “Joshua”. It doesn’t take much imagination on “David’s” part that the missing password is the name of “Stephen Falken’s” son.
Next, “David Lightman” starts playing with “Joshua”, “Global Thermonuclear War”. “David” is enjoying the challenge, but something goes wrong. “Joshua the WOPR” thinks it now for real. He starts running scenarios and those at “NORAD” and those of the “United States Air Force Strategic Missile Wing” are in panic mode of the United States starting the “Third World War” with atomic bombs.
“David” had been identified as hacking the “WOPR”, and with “Jennifer”, are being pursued by the military. He make it back to “Stephen Falken” and get his help. Accompanied by “Dr. Falken”, the trio are brought to “NORAD”. “Dr. John McKittrick”, portrayed by Dabney Coleman, the head of the “WOPR” project from conception, is happy to see “Stephen”, but wants “David” put under armed guard and charged. As everyone watches, the “WOPR” indicates a massive attack on the United States military by nuclear weapons on land, on sea, and in our foreign bases. However, “Stephen”, “David”, and “Jennifer” are able to hold the retaliatory strike until the actual first strike is confirmed, and that comes back negative. Only, “Joshua” shows the damage.
All attempts to log in, even by “McKittrick”, and “Falken” are blocked, as it appears “Joshua” is studying his best retaliatory strike, but (?)
Could “Josuha” still think its playing a game with “David Lightman”?
“McKittrick” doesn’t want “David” to touch any keyboard, but “Stephen Falken” convinces the other to let the teenager try something. “David” goes onto the master keyboard, and gets the computer to bring up the list of games.
Immediately, both “David” and “Falken” realize that one game, “TICK-TAC-TOE” is not on the “Joshua’s” list.
Can the fate of the world arrest on “Joshua”, playing a game WHERE THERE IS NO WINNER?
Back in 1954, producer, Ivan Tors, gave his viewers the third and final film in a trilogy, and filmed in the “Third Dimension” too. Read on for some good old 1950’s fun from my boyhood.
GOG premiered in Hollywood on June 5, 1954

When “GOG” came out, the 3-D craze was at it’s height, and producer Ivan Tors, and director Herbert L. Stock, who received no screen credit on the first two pictures, made excellent use of the process. There is a sequence that starts the film showing a scientist, “Dr. Hubertus”, played by Michael Fox, entering a test chamber for extreme cold. Suddenly the door, which fills the screen, closes on him, the locking handle, also filling the screen, starts to spin and the control switch starts to move causing the scientists death within.
Actually the above, is both the start of the motion picture, and the reason to bring Richard Egan portraying “Office of Scientific Investigation Agent, David Sheppard”, to the underground project. The question he has to answer is:
Who is murdering the scientist’s attempting to perfect the environment for man’s first Space Station?
“Sheppard”, is first seen flying in a helicopter over the New Mexico desert, and rising out of the landscape is a giant reflecting mirror, and other listening devices from the underground project. The entrance slides back, and the helicopter descends downward to the landing bay. Next, “David Sheppard” meets Herbert Marshall portraying“Site Director, Dr. Van Ness”.
“Dr. Van Ness” introduces “David Sheppard” to the project’s scientists without revealing that he’s an “OSI” agent. What “Van Ness” doesn’t know, is that his secretary “Joanna Merritt”, portrayed by Constance Downing, is also an “OSI Agent”, planted at the facility. Additionally, Sheppard, and Merritt, are the love interest of the story.

The entire facility is controlled by one central computer “NOVAC (Nuclear Operative Variable Automatic Computer)”. The question for the “OSI Agent’s”, becomes is somebody remotely controlling “NOVAC”, if so who and how? It can’t be thinking on its own, although that appears a possibility.
It should be pointed out that that one-word title, “GOG”, was not lost on the audience, or the film critics of the year. This was the “Second Red Scare”, with the “Cold War” in full form. The “GOG” of the title, and its counterpart “MYGOG”, brought to the audience member’s mind’s, Biblical references from “Genesis”, “Ezekial”, and “Revelation 20:7–10″
“The names “Gog and Magog” are used together to symbolize the nations—the hostile forces of the world—gathered by Satan at the end of the thousand-year millennial reign to attack God’s people before being destroyed by fire from heaven”
As with everything else, “GOG” and “MYGOG“ are controlled through “NOVAC”. Making them very useful to all the scientists, but potentially deadly, in the wrong hands.
My accidents and deaths take place and seem all to point not to the robots,, but the super computer.
At the film’s climax, “OSI Agent David Sheppard”, finds out that, while “NOVAC” was being constructed in Switzerland. A receiver/transmitter was installed by an unnamed Foreign Power.
American’s did not need to know the name of that Foreign Power, in 1954, to identify it.
The alarms sound, and “Sheppard”, and “Merritt”, are told that “Mygog” is in the nuclear power room, and pulling out the control rod. “Sheppard” fights “Mygog”, and stops the robot with a flame thrower.
“Gog” appears and attacks, as a second battle takes place.
The double battle is followed by “Sheppard” confirming that there is some form of plane, with a fiberglass body to make it undetectable to radar, flying above the project. Who is in the aircraft transmitting a signal to the super computer is unknown. Jets are dispatched, and the plane is destroyed. Suddenly, “GOG’s arms fall limp at its side, and “NOVAC” is silent. “Sheppard” and “Meritt” were exposed to radiation, but not to long and will recover.
“Dr. Van Ness” contacts the “Secretary of Defense” telling him that a “baby space station”, think satellite, will be launched.
William Robert Grove was a Welsh Judge and Physical Scientist.
He published, in 1889, his novel, “The Wreck of the World”. In which sentient machines rebel against humanity, and drive humans out of North America.
Did my reader really think “A. I.” was new?
Actually, the first “CREDITED” written description of “Artificial Intelligence” comes from the Greek, Homer, in “The Iliad”, circa “8th-Century B.C.E.”. These “A.I.’s” were “The Golden Maidens of Hephaestus”. Human looking Maidens, made out of Gold, to wait upon “Hephaestus”, in his palace on “Mount Olympus”. In short, Homer was describing female Automatons, aka: Androids.
In 1726, British writer and encyclopedist, Ephraim Chambers published his “Cyclopædia: or, an Universal Dictionary of Arts and Sciences”.
The work contained the definition of the Latin: “Androides”, that during the 1830’s, became the English word, “ANDROID”. A modern definition is:
“An android is a humanoid robot, or other artificial being, often made from a flesh-like material“.

METROPOLIS released in Berlin, Germany, on January 10, 1927
This classic of the silent screen comes from a husband and wife team. The story is from Thea von Harbour, who with her husband, actually invented the rocket count down, for their 1929 motion picture, “Frau in Mon (Woman in the Moon)”, as a means of building tension with the audience of this silent movie as the rocket ship takes off. As a team, with her husband Fritz Lang, she wrote the classic crime film, 1930’s, “M”, that introduced Peter Lorre to the world.
Fritz Lang was the movie’s director, and before he fled Germany, in 1933, with the rise of Adolph Hitler, they divorced, and Thea remained in country.

Alfred Abel portrayed “Johann (Joh) Frederson – the “Master of Metropolis”.
Gustav Frohlich portrayed “Freder Frederson – “Johann’s” son.
Rudolf Klein-Rogge portrayed “Rotwang, The Inventor”.
Brigitte Helm portrayed “Maria/Maschinenmensch/The Machine Woman”
The basic story takes place in a dystopian future. Where wealthy business magnates reign as emperors from skyscrapers over city buildings far below, and their workers are forced to live in the underground world of those surface cities. In this instance, it is the city known simply as “METROPOLIS”, ruled my its master, the heartless “Johann (Joh) Frederson“.
When the audience first meets “Freder Frederson“, his life is nothing more than playing sports and enjoying time in the pleasure garden.
“Freder” has no idea of the life of those, the workers, who actually run “Metropolis”. Than, one morning, “Maria” arrives at the offices of his father, with group of worker’s children to show them the life of the rulers of the city. When she leaves, she has intrigued “Freder” about who she is and where she has come from.
Fritz Lang’s imagery is everywhere in this film. It is not just the futuristic above ground world of luxury of the wealthy elite like young Freder, as compared to the dungeon like underground world of the working class, like Maria.
As “Freder” enters the underworld against his father’s orders. There he witnesses an explosion of a huge machine killing many workers and the injured being carried away on stretchers.
“Freder” arrives at his father’s office, as the foreman for the underground workers, “Grot”, portrayed by Heinrich George, is telling his father about two maps found on two of the dead workers, but they mean is unknown. “Freder’s” father fires “Josaphat” portrayed by Theodor Loos, for not telling him about the explosion, but shows no remorse for the workers. “Freder” decides to help the workers and find “Maria”.
The “Master of Metropolis” goes to “Rotwang”, the mad genius of a scientist to decode the maps. The maps show a network of catacombs below “Metropolis”, and the two men investigate, to find, unseen a meeting of the workers led by “Maria” and present is “Freder”. After the two leave, “Freder” declares his love for “Maria”, while”Rotwang” shows “John Frederson” a robot that he had planned to make a duplicate of his dead wife. However, this is changed to make a duplicate of Maria to mislead the workers who trust the real girl.
“Maria” is kidnapped, and “Maria” becomes a robot double.
The workers believe the robotic “Maria” is the real “Maria”. As the robotic “Maria” starts to stir the workers to revolt against their master. “Freder” and “Josaphat” arrive in a attempt to find the real “Maria”, and destroy the robot.
“Feder” tells the workers that this is not the real “Maria”, but they do not believe him. The workers in a frenzy, follow the robots orders to destroy the machines. Which will cause a great flood that will drown their children. Meanwhile, “John Frederson” has realized his mistakes and fights with “Rotwang”. The real “Maria” has escaped the house she was imprisoned in, and is able to save the children as the flood waters rise.
“Grot” now berates the workers for abandoning their children, and they turn on the fake “Maria”, tie her to a stake, and set it on fire. A horrified “Freder” watches believing that is the real “Maria”, until the fire reveals the robot.
“Maria” is being chased by “Rortwang”, who believes he is chasing his wife, “Hel”. The two come to the roof top “The Master of Metropolis’s” skyscraper, but “Freder” appears. As his father, the workers with their children watch, “Freder” and “Rotwang: fight until the scientist falls to his death. “Freder” has accomplished his destiny, of uniting the two groups of “Metropolis” as one.
I’ve mentioned computers, robots, and reference androids, but now look at a Post-Nuclear-Holocaust United States society depending upon “Artificial Intelligent Human’s” for survival.
THE CREATION OF THE HUIMANOIDS released July 3, 1962
According to the digital archive, “The Wayback Machine”, the “Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences” lists the completion date of this motion picture as in August 1960, and the movie has that year as a “Copyright Date” on the film. There also appears to have been, based on advertising material, a 1961 showing of the motion picture, but the above 1962 date is the accepted “General Release Date”.
The was the last motion picture that make-up artist Jack Pierce worked on, and reflects the low budget of the production. Pierce had created Boris Karloff’s make-ups for, 1931’s, “Frankenstein”, and, 1932’s, “The Mummy”. Along with Lon Chaney, Jr’s, 1941, “The Wolf Man”. My article is, “Jack P. The motion picture was produced and directed by Wesley Barry, who started as an actor in 1915.
The original story and screenplay was by Jay Simmons, 1959’s, “The Killer Shrews”, and, “The Giant Gila Monster”. Besides this screenplay, he wrote the very good Atomic War aftermath film, 1962’s, “Panic in Year Zero”, starring Ray Milland, Frankie Avalon and Jean Hagen.
No matter when this little motion picture was made. It used the medium of Science Fiction to get around a 1950’s, 1960’s, motion picture taboo, racial prejudice. The picture did very well in the “Deep South”, compared, for example, to 1964’s, “Black Like Me” The true story of white reporter “John Howard Griffin”, played by James Whitmore. Who had his skin medically changed to black. So he could experience what it was like to be black in the South. That movie was banned in most Southern States, because of the picture’s racial inequality issues!
Don Megowan portrayed “Captain Kenneth Cragis”. He had just been in an episode of televisions “77 Sunset Strip”, entitled, “Flight from Escondido”, and was co-starring with Cameron Mitchell on the 1962 television series, “The Beachcomber”. Erica Elliott portrayed “Maxine Megan”. This was her third of only four on-screen appearances.
Francis McCann portrayed “Esme Cragis Milos”. She had only one other on-screen appearance, and that was back in 1951. On a television program with 1940’s radio comedian Jerry Colona.
Don Doolittle portrayed “Dr. Raven”. This was his third of four on-screen appearances.
David Cross portrayed “Pax”. This was his final on-screen appearance of nineteen, his others were all on different television programs since 1955.
The viewing audience is watching a post-nuclear-war society in which the human race is still dying out. The birth rate caused by the lingering radiation has fallen to 1.4 percent.
Mankind has built blue gray, “synthie-skinned”, silver eyed, bald, androids to wait upon them, but these “Humanoids” are taking on real human qualities and this is where the racial prejudice allegory comes in. The “Humanoids” routinely have to be recharged at stations they visit, and refer to as “Temples”.These “Temples”, are all connected to “One Computer”, the “Humanoids” call “The Father-Mother”.
“Captain Cragis” belongs to the “Order of Flesh and Blood”, a human racist organization opposed to the “Godless, soulless robots”, that are acting as if they’re “Flesh and Blood” also.
Adding to the Captain’s problem is that his widowed sister, “Esmie”, has fallen in love with “Pax”, a “Humanoid”. At this same time, “Cragis” meets “Maxine”, a woman who opposes the “Order”, but he’s strangely drawn to her and the two fall in love.
AT THE MOVIE’S CLIMAX:
“Cragis” follows “Maxine” to the laboratory of “Dr. Raven”. There, it is revealed that “Maxine” is actually an advanced “Humanoid” with the brain of a deceased human, and all the memories and feelings of that person.
“Captain Cragis” is ready to report all of this to the “Order of Flesh and Blood”, but “Dr. Raven” tells him that he is also one of the advanced “Humanoids” and part of the doctor’s work to save the human race.
“Dr. Raven” now speaks to a possible surgery to permit “Maxine” and “Captain Cragis” to have children, if they agree to let him try it on them.
In the final scene of the picture, “Dr. Raven” walks toward the camera and breaks “The Fourth Wall”, the invisible wall that should be where the movie audience is viewing this motion picture from, and tells us that:
Of course, the operation was a success….or you wouldn’t be here.
In 1973, Medical Doctor, John Michael Crichton, wrote a new screenplay, and directed a classic “A.I.” gone wrong Dystopian Science Fiction, movie. I ask my reader, what could go wrong at an amusement park? Perhaps a visitor might get suck on the ferris wheel? Reality, did not agree with the Artificial Intelligence behind “WESTWORLD”, premiering in Los Angles, on October 24, 1973.
The basic story was moved ten-years into the future and a new amusement park opens with accommodations for guests. It is called “DELOS”, and it not your normal “Disneyland”, “Magic Mountain”, or “Universal Studios” high end park.
“DELOS” is divided into three lands, “Medieval World” takes the guest back to the days of the legendary “King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table”, “Roman World” takes the guest to ancient Pompeii, and “Westworld” to the American Wild West. The cost is only a $1,000 per day to enjoy the “SAFE ENVIRONMENT”, and “TRULY LIVE OUT YOUR FANTASIES”.
To “Delos” comes two friends, “Peter Martin”, portrayed by Richard Benjamin, a first time visitor, and “John Baine” portrayed by James Brolin, on a repeat visit. The two go to “Westworld”.

They’re going to have fun taking on the “Gunslinger”, portrayed by Yul Brynner dressed like his role of the “Gunslinger”, “Chris Larabee Adams”, in the classic, 1960’s, “The Magnificent Seven”.

All of the character’s at “Delos”, like “The Gunslinger”, are android’s. The android’s programing protects the guest from harm of any kind, because the androids are programed not to harm “Organic Beings”. This permits the visitor to participate in gunfights, or other similar activities tied to the specific land their staying in.
In the saloon, “Peter” meets the gunslinger, but kills him dead. After a night spent with two android prostitutes, the boys wake up still drunk. When the “Gunslinger” challenges “Peter” and “John” in the street. “John” takes up the challenge to a gunfight, BUT THE GUNSLINGER SHOOTS HIM DEAD!
During the previous day, the park technicians have noticed various malfunctions, breakdowns, and systematic failures. Things really get out of the technician’s hand’s. When the “Black Knight Android” in “Medieval World” actually kills a guest in a sword fight. The resort’s supervisor attempts to get the system under control, but shutting down “Delos’s” power. Only traps all the technicians in the control room. As the android’s go on a rampage using their built-in reserve power.
The film continues with “Peter” fighting for his life. As the “ORGANIC BEING” in being hunted down by the “ANDROID”.
In 1954, the Japanese, “Toho Studio”, created a living Hydrogen Bomb, they called “ゴジラGOJIRA“. “Mechagodzilla” was an android, being controlled by “Ape-Like Men”, from the “Third Planet of the Black Hole called Simeon”. “Mechagodzilla” would return the following year with its “Simon” masters, in 1975’s, “Terror of Mechagodzilla”.
However, I am not interested in those two “Showa Era” classics. I want to discuss the movie that reunited the 1954 “Gojira” with “Mechagodzilla”.

The Interesting A.I. Plot Line:
The picture’s opening states it is now 45-years after “Gojira” attacked Tokyo and was destroyed. However, that places the event, not in 1954, but 1957. The first of screenplay writer Wataru Mimura’s changes to the original screenplay by Takeo Murata and Ishirō Honda.
The movie opens with a battle by the “AMF (Anti-Megalosaurus Force)” and the new “Gojira”. An accident occurs killing members of the force, “Gojira” gets away, a member of the “AMF” is reduced in rank over it and gets a bad reputation with a young officer he will have to work with later in the story.
The screenplay moves 4-years forward.
The plan is to build a “CYBORG” “Gojira”. The term “Cyborg” is defined on “Youtube” at:

A search of Tokyo Bay takes place, looking for the skeleton of the 1957 “Gojira”. On his time line, unlike being totally disintegrated by “Dr. Serizawa’s” “Oxygen Destroyer”, writer Mimura, has “Gojira’s” skeleton existing somewhere in Tokyo Bay. The skeleton is located, and it is brought back to the “AMF”, scientific laboratories. Where it will have a mechanical body formed around it, and become “MFS-3KIRU”. “Kiryu (機龍, Kiryū), in English means, “Steel Dragon”.
The “Kiryu” is adopted into the Japanese “Xenomorph” section of the “Japanese Defense Force (JXSDF)”. As everyone awaits a report of “Gojira” to use
“MFS-3KIRU” against . The wait isn’t very long, and “Gojira” attacks Yokohama. “Kiryu”, with its command aircraft, are launched.
However, when “Gojira” roars, “Kiryu” stops cold in its tracks. Another twist to Wataru Mimura’s screenplay. The “Spirit” of the original “Gojira” is contained in its skeletal remains. Which are now part of the “Cyborg”.
“Kiryu/Gojira” starts to remember who it really is, and goes on a rampage as “1957’S GOJIRA”.
This leads to an open ending ,with “Gojira” barely still alive, but regenerating. While, the damaged “Kiryu” is transported to the scientists of the “Japanese Defense Force”. Looking at a damaged “Cyborg”, they wonder, if once repaired, will the spirit of the “1957 Gojira” return?
The answer to that question, was found in the picture’s sequel, “ゴジラ×モスラ×メカゴジラ 東京SOS, Gojira x Mothra x Mechagojira: Tōkyō S.O.S.)” aka: “GODZILLA: Tokyo S.O.S.”. That as the title implied, will contain the return of the “Shobijin”, and “モスラ Mosura” aka: “Mothra”.
It was called “SKYNET”:
“An artificial neural network -based conscious group mind and artificial superintelligence system.”
The first mentioning of “Skynet” was in James Cameron’s, 1984, “THE TERMINATOR”.
Just as in 1983’s, “War Games”, with the “WOPR” supercomputer being created for the “Strategic Missile Wing-NORAD”. The “SKYNET” supercomputer was created for “Strategic Air Command -NORAD”
Just as with “Joshua”, that the human’s wanted to deactivate, but couldn’t and it had to be tricked to prevent the start of nuclear war.
On August 29, 1997, at exactly 2:14 AM, Eastern Standard Time, “SKY NET” BECAME SELFAWARE. The human’s around it, in panic, literally try to pull the plug on the supercomputer. “Skynet” views their action as a threat against it, and launches a nuclear attack against Russia as a lesson to its handlers and the world’s population. The Russian’s respond, and the date in the “Terminator Series” become’s known as “JUDGEMENT DAY”.
Science Fiction movies can be fun, as the few movies I’ve mentioned above show.
